Develop Conderis publication and monetization strategy #78
Description
Objective
Preserve the option to earn revenue or sell the business while building adoption among users of multiple coding agents. The user sees 10,000 GitHub stars and a potential GitHub acquisition as an aspiration, not a confirmed buyer or valuation.
Working concept v0
- Hosted Conderis first; test willingness to pay for shared team workflows, managed operation and governance. Possible free individual tier and paid team tier remain hypotheses, not promises.
- Use GitHub-familiar item numbers, Markdown and references because they reduce onboarding effort. Demonstrate a cross-harness handoff with evidence and ready tasks.
- Compare hosted proprietary core with public clients/examples, a genuinely open core plus paid hosted/team capabilities, and source-available alternatives. Do not label restricted source-available software as open source.
- Defer release of a local server and sync until distribution/licensing/monetization boundaries are decided.
Evidence to collect
Activation (connect first agent, create/recall an item), weekly active projects, repeat usage, cross-agent handoffs, retention, willingness to pay, operating costs and support burden. Stars measure reach and remain a secondary signal.
Deliverable
A short decision memo comparing product distribution, pricing experiments, license/ownership requirements and publication milestones. Include an acquisition-independent sustainability path and a list of hypothetical strategic buyers without claims of interest.
Acceptance
- Options have tradeoffs, validation criteria and a recommended next experiment.
- Actual repository visibility, existing licenses and third-party/contributor obligations audited before proposing release changes.
- License selection, pricing commitments, repository publication and outreach remain owner decisions.

Agent handoff
Research/design only. Do not publish code, change licenses, contact buyers or implement billing as part of this planning task.
Concrete subtasks
- #99 Release/licensing/ownership options.
- #100 Hosted pricing/adoption experiment design.
- #101 Launch and strategic-option milestones.
- #102 Deferred local-distribution decision (blocked until an owner decision).
#99-#101 can proceed alongside technical foundations. Before finishing this concept epic, resolve #102 as a documented distribution decision; continued deferral is valid and does not imply local implementation.
Proposed sequence
#73 + renderer portion of #74 -> #86 references -> #75 backlinks -> #76 ready work. #77 stays design-only for now; #78 proceeds in parallel.
