Versions

#281 • Updated Sep 16, 2026

Everything you need to work on Conderis itself: building, testing and changing the data model. How the service is put together is described under Architecture (#279).

Requirements

  • .NET 10 SDK and the dotnet-ef tool for migrations.
  • SQL Server LocalDB is optional. A few tests use it to check behaviour that SQLite cannot show, and they report themselves inconclusive when it is missing.

Rules that apply everywhere

  • Source files are UTF-8. SourceEncodingTests fails on mojibake such as ·, which appears when a file is read with the wrong encoding and saved again.
  • Conderis.Core references no ASP.NET. Domain logic that needs a web type belongs in the Conderis project.
  • Commit each finished unit of work. Several agents may work in the same checkout; uncommitted work is easy to overwrite.
  • Never commit secrets. Local configuration lives in .env, which is ignored; .env.example shows the keys with placeholders.
  • Documentation here is public with the project. Write down architecture, decisions and how to build and run the software. Credentials, account names, internal security details and legal matters do not belong in pages, memories or tasks.

Pages in this section

  • Build and test (#282): commands, the test projects and the checks that guard against regressions nobody would notice by hand.
  • Database and migrations (#283): the EF Core model, how migrations are created and when they run.
